Personal Development

Feeling your personal growth and self-improvement is a great way to live a happy and enjoyable life. Take a little break from busy and stressful daily tasks.

It is already mid-October. If you are someone who likes to grow and seek to improve yourself, it may be a good idea to take some time to think about your personal development before the Fall season ends. Feeling your personal growth and self-improvement is a great way to live a happy and enjoyable life. Take a little break from busy and stressful daily tasks. Try to find what you would really like to do for your development; and then find ways to achieve it.

Here are some suggestions for you.

1. Try to learn a new language. Learning a new language is not only about the language itself; you also learn about its culture and people. This will broaden your view of other cultures and societies. Try to find a way to connect with people from that country or with someone who is familiar with the culture. Making a new friend from the country whose language you chose to learn, is a great way to learn its language. Enjoy your learning and do not study the language! Again, it is something you learn and enjoy not study!

2. Wake up early and exercise. This is easier said than done! However, once you make it your habit, it may not be that difficult to do. You do not need to do an intensive exercise in the morning. Walking, stretching, simple yoga poses or even meditation can change your mood and give you energy to get through the rest of the day. But, make sure that you also get enough sleep (about 7 hours). This means that it is best to go to sleep early.

3. Read a book everyday. If you feel great when you learn new things, this should be your new hobby. Reading is obviously a great way of learning and it also improves your mental and emotional health. But, be careful to choose the right books to read.

4. Quit a bad habit. Ending a bad habit is as important as finding something to do to improve yourself. First, identify what habits you have and evaluate if they are helping or hurting you. Once you find your habits that you believe are not beneficial, don’t think twice and start quitting them one by one. Read about other’s experiences on quitting a bad habit and ask for advice.

Do not let this Fall pass before you find something you would like to do for your personal growth.
