Fibromyalgia is a chronic condition which is associated with
widespread pain. Although there are many theories, the clear cause of
fibromyalgia has not been identified. The constant pain in many parts of the
body often results in chronic fatigue, anxiety, frustration, irritation,
insomnia and depression. This can seriously affect daily life of one's daily life. Doctors
diagnose this condition through some physical examinations and lab tests as
well as hearing the conditions of a patient. However, they may not fully diagnose
fibromyalgia and there are many who suffer from this illness while not being diagnosed.
Studies found that besides medication,
exercise is effective to treat some of fibromyalgia symptoms. There is
evidence that cardio exercise can relieve some symptoms of
fibromyalgia and it is beneficial to do aquatic-based exercise as it mixes cardio with resistant exercise. It should be
noted that patients with this illness are very sensitive to cold air and water. Therefore,
they should exercise in a heated pool and the air in the pool facility should also
be warm.
